Yourmotorcycleisequippedwithtworemovablesidecovers.Removetheleftsidecovertoaccessthebattery.
Removetherightsidecovertoaccessthefusesandtherearbrakefluidreservoir.
Toremoveeithersidecover,removetheoperator’sseat(seepage124)andpullthelowercornersofthesidecover
outandawayfromthemotorcycleuntillowertabisdisengaged. Liftthesidecoverupuntiltoppinsareclearof
themountinggrommets,thenremovecoverfromthemotorcycle.Reversethisproceduretoinstallthesidecover.
Sidestand
Thesidestandislocatedontheleftsideofthemotorcycle.
Correctly retract the sidestand before operating the motorcycle. An improperly retracted sidestand
could come into contact with the ground and cause loss of control.
WARNING
Toextendthesidestand,swingitoutfromtheenduntilitisfullyextended.Leanthemotorcycletowardthe
sidestanduntilthesidestandfirmlysupportsthemotorcycle.
Toretractthesidestand,leanthemotorcycleawayfromthesidestanduntilthemotorcycleisfullyupright.Swing
thesidestandbackintoitsfullyretractedposition.

MAINTENANCE
Battery
The battery contains sulfuric acid, which can cause severe burns. Do not allow sulfuric acid to
contact skin, eyes, or clothing.
Antidotes:
External: Flush with water.
Internal: Drink large quantities of water or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beaten eggs, or
vegetable oil. Call physician immediately.
Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention.
WARNING
Themotorcycleusesapermanentlysealed,maintenance-freebattery.Donotremovethebatterycapstripforany
reason.Keepthebatteryconnectionscleanandtightatalltimes.
Notice
IfyourVICTORYmotorcyclewillnotbeusedforaperiodof6weeksorlonger,amaintenancecharger
shouldbeconnectedtothebattery.Afusedmaintenancechargerconnectionisprovidedbeneaththeleftsidecover.The
connectorisdesignedforusewiththeVICTORYMaintenanceChargeravailableatyourauthorizedVICTORYdealer.

MAINTENANCE
Fuses
Useonlyrecommendedamperagefusesoryoucandamagetheelectricalsystem.
Caution
1. Removetheseatandtherightsidecover.
2. Releasethetabsoneachsideofthefusebox
cover,andremovethecover.
3. Removethedamagedfusefromthefuseboxandseatthenewfusefirmlyinitsplace.
4. Reinstallthefuseboxcoverwiththedoublecutouttowardthefrontofthemotorcycle.Thefuseboxdecal
shouldbereadablefromtherightsideofthemotorcycle.
5. Reinstallthesidecoverandtheoperator’sseat.

TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardandVICTORYMotorcycleDivision,PolarisSalesInc.(hereinafterVICTORY)arepleasedtoexplainthe
emissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour2005orlaterVICTORYmotorcycle.InCalifornia,newmotorvehiclesmustbedesigned,builtand
equippedtomeetthestate’sstringentanti-smogstandards.VICTORYmustwarranttheemissioncontrolsystemonyourmotorcycleforthe
periodsoftimelistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenanceofyourmotorcycle.
Youremissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchasthefuel-injectionsystem,theignitionsystem,catalyticconverterandenginecomputer.
Alsoincludedmaybehoses,belts,connectorsandotheremission-relatedassemblies.
Whereawarrantableconditionexists,VICTORYwillrepairyourmotorcycleatnocosttoyou,includingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
Manufacturer’s Warranty Coverage
ClassIIImotorcycles(280ccandlarger):foraperiodofuseoffive(5)yearsor30,000kilometers(18,641miles),whicheverfirstoccurs.
Ifanemission-relatedpartonyourmotorcycleisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyVICTORY.Thisisyouremissioncontrol
systemDEFECTSWARRANTY.

Owner’s Warranty Responsibilities
Asthemotorcycleowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourowner’smanual.VICTORY
recommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourmotorcycle,butVICTORYcannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackof
receiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.
YouareresponsibleforpresentingyourmotorcycletoaVICTORYdealerassoonasaproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshouldbecompleted
inareasonableamountoftime,nottoexceed30days.
Asthemotorcycleowner,youshouldbeawarethatVICTORYmaydenyyourwarrantycoverageifyourmotorcycleorparthasfaileddueto

12,000kilometers(7,456miles),ifthemotorcycle’senginedisplacementislessthan170cubiccentimeters;of18,000kilometers(11,185miles),
